100W VHF 80-170MHz RF Power Amplifier kit MRF186

Jon GM4JTJ has just built one of these kits. They are widely advertised on Chinese traders sites and seem a bargain. Clearly some enterprising person has recovered plenty XRF/MRF186's from old 900MHz mobile phone boards and is now offering a kit using these devices. How did it go? Are they any good? John Tojeiro Tojeiro Bristol

....First Wednesday of the month is Earls Barton Classic Car evening. Among the 800 or so classics I spied this VERY rare Tojeiro.  John Tojeiro built only a handful of cars before teaming up with AC to design the ACE which of course went on to Carroll Shelby for further development into the 289 Cobra. This Tojeiro Bristol (I think) looked fantastic with its perfect alloy body on a tubular steel frame. The front end design almost identical to the AC Ace. I understand John Tojeiro was paid £5 per car royalties for each Ace sold. Excellent sunny evening (which makes for tricky photography with the low sun) and all for £3 entrance fee.
